Castle Conquest 1

(BurgConquest)

CastleConquest 1, also known as BurgConquest (German name for CastleConquest) is the map where everything began. It is our first map and made everything what happened after possible.

The Map

The map consists of the castle and its surrounding area with two villages and some other places.

The map has features like a door control system with keys and central control, a camera system, supplymanagement, etc…

Attackers can enter the castle by blowing up the main gate (or the glass window in the wall), digging into it using the wall breaker, climbing onto the wall using scaffoldings or using the coal mine which has an entry into the castle (can be locked).

The Gamemode

There are 6 flags in the castle. The attackers have to capture and hold them. When the attackers hold 4 flags or more, a countdown starts. If the defenders are unable to capture the flags back or if they hold all flags, the attackers win. If the attackers are unable to capture the castle within 30 minutes, the defenders win.

There are also missions to earn money, because there is no auto-balancer like on CastleConquest 2.

Players can buy equipment in the castle, at the villages and in the spawn of the attackers. Equipment can also be enchanted. There are swords, bows and armor. A player drops their equipment on death.

About the Project

The map was initially created using command blocks, but later we have converted them into a datapack.

The project started 2020 in the Lockdown, but we really started at the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021. It has been discontinued somewhere in the middle of 2021 because we started ACM-2.

CastleConquest 1 is stuck on Minecraft 1.19 because of the new item data system. Therefore, is not playable on our network, but we sometimes play it on events on our Discord server.
We don’t know if we will update it some day, but it is likely that the CC1 map will be added to CastleConquest 2 as a second map.

Locations and Pictures

Control room

This room can be used to open/close doors and to use the cameras. It also contains Flag D.

Having a player in the control room is a huge advantage, because attackers then could not steal keys.

The repairer

The repairer has the job to repair broken bricks in the wall. It can also repair the gate and the glass pane at the back of the castle.

The repairer can be killed and upgraded.

Smith

The castle has the advantage that the smith produces equipment for free. The item that should be produced can be selected.

The mine

The mine was the first entrance point for attackers into the castle. The entrance gate of it can only be closed when the furnace is burning, so the defenders had to get coal as quickly as possible on the start to close this gate.

Pump station

Some things or NPCs are requiring water and/or lava.

Both are pumped out of the from here using coal as fuel.

Missing water or lava comes with disadvantages.

World Admin

In this room, admins can control the current game like starting, stopping, changing settings, managing players, etc… There are three more rooms of this.

Elevator Room

Instead of walking stairs, players also could use this elevator to move between the basement, the yard and the tower.

Technical Room

At the beginning, the gamemode was completely created with the command blocks you see in the picture. Later, most things were moved to a datapack, but the room is still there.

Credits Room

This room shows the creators of the map.
